I don't know why.
I do know they're easy to make, and that they can be adapted to many low carb diets.
The Head of Security around here likes to make a double or even quadruple recipe. You can see that here he's managed to use an entire jar of peanut butter.
I use an organic peanut butter, with no ingredients except for peanuts.
I do know why, but I won't bore everyone with my personal food issues. I did want to mention it though, because if you're using a peanut butter with sugar, you might want to adjust the sweetener up or down.
Basically, you just mix an equal amount of peanut butter with dry milk and then mix in half as much honey (if you want a Paleo version) or agave syrup (South Beach friendly version).
You don't really use the chocolate chips OR the sprinkled on sugar if you're on any diet. But we did anyway.
Mix all ingredients together and roll into balls. Roll in sugar, chocolate chips, or cinnamon.
So delicious! Also makes a great "play dough"!
