I LOVE flavored almonds, but I have trouble finding good ones (i.e. ones without ingredients I can't pronounce). So of course I decided the best thing to do was to ask my buddy Google for advice on how to make them.
The problem is, the recipes I saw either took half the day or didn't have enough flavor. I can't cook any food that runs the risk of ruining the Head of Demolition's nap, so I had to experiment. Here's what I came up with after multiple tries:
Mix one cup raw almonds, three large cloves of crushed garlic (or a TON of little cloves...either way!), a teaspoon of garlic salt, and one and a half teaspoons of oil.
I used expeller pressed olive oil because of that being afraid of ingredients I can't pronounce thing. Besides, they cook at a really low temperature, so no fear of burning the oil.
Lay them out in a single layer on the pan. If there are any chunks of garlic left over in the bowl, you can just put them right on top!
Cook at 250 degrees for 20 minutes. In my oven, the time has been pretty reliable, so I don't even have to check on them.
And that's it! SO easy!!!!!!

Do you crush or chop the garlic first?
Arizaphale - I think I crushed it. I put it through a garlic press so...whatever that does to it!
